Our Story
Trap Kitchen began in the humble kitchen of Prince "Shakka" Cofie-Owusu’s mother’s home in Camberwell, South London.
Originally cooking meals for himself and his younger brother, Prince started sharing photos of his soulful creations on Instagram — quickly sparking a wave of interest. Before long, customers were lining up outside his mother’s door, eager to taste the flavors everyone was talking about.
Blending influences from African, Caribbean, and American cuisines, Trap Kitchen grew into a viral phenomenon, gaining the attention of celebrities like Leomie Anderson and Stormzy.
The combination of bold flavors, generous portions, and street-food soul made Trap Kitchen stand out in London’s vibrant food scene.
In 2022, Trap Kitchen expanded and opened its full-fledged restaurant in Camden, London.
Designed with luxurious touches like giant chandeliers, cherry blossoms, and plush seating, the new location offers a warm, lively atmosphere — where great food and great vibes come together.
